What does it feel like to be asked out for prom? When you see a guy starts to walk towards you with a nervous smile, do you panic or freeze? When everyone’s staring at both of you and all the girls are wishing it was them in your place instead, do you feel special? When the guy pick up his courage and finally utters the question, do you suddenly ask yourself, “Why me?” or “How did I get so lucky?” When everyone becomes so quiet and the guy shakes worriedly as they all wait for your answer, will you say “yes,” excitedly or shyly? When the crowd begins to cheer and the guy starts jumping for joy, do you wish you could just be stuck in that moment forever?

To you who finally knows all the answer to these questions, you have no idea how many girls would want to be in your place right now, so feel special. To you who asked out the girl of your dreams, you’re awesome. You were brave. You know you could have been rejected yet that didn’t stop you from letting your heart out. To you who got a “yes,” here’s your chance. You better not waste it. Treat her like a princess through out that most-awaited night and let her know how you feel. To you who got a “no,” it’s not the end of the world. If she didn’t feel your sincerity and appreciate your effort, she’s not worthy of you. Keep searching for the right girl. And to you who’s still waiting, he will come. Maybe he’s still planning or building up courage and needs a little more time so, just hang in there, dear. :)
But Prom isn’t just about being asked out and having a date. That may be a part of it yet in the end, it’s all about your friends who are going to make the night a lot more special. So for all of you attending this event, have fun, make new memories, and carpe diem.
