GOAL #2/52: fill all the pages of my doodle book I know I have an almost non-existent skill in drawing yet, whenever something special happens to me, I feel the urge to write or draw about it. It’s also handy for me who keeps a blog because usually, ideas come to me at random times and when I’m about to make a post about it, I entirely forget it. :)) The contents of my doodle/scribble book is a glimpse of what’s going inside my head. It contains my deepest thoughts and dreams so if I let you look at it, you must be someone I really trust. ;) Hopefully I get to fill all the pages of my little doodle book in few years’ time. :> See more of my doodle books and scribbled planners here, here , here, and here.

LIBRARIES & BOOKSTORES consenting my bookworm-ness causing procrastination.

It’s been a year and a month since I last made a caricature and I’ve been really busy this week that’s why I haven’t been blogging much so I thought the best way to make up for those days of not blogging is to once again make an amateur art! ;)

That’s my caricature for the week. Why that? It’s because I am extremely happy about the library here in our place. yes, LIBRARY! <3 I was overwhelmed by this library because back there in the Philippines, I never visited one with a full floor TEEN SECTION. You know what, I’ll tell them to slash Teen Section and change it to PARADISE instead. :))  Another good thing is, the public library is just a 5-10 minute walk from the school I just enrolled to. ;) Srsly, God is consenting my bookworm-ness too much. :))

It was last Saturday when my aunt first brought my family inside the library. Days before that, my cousin who lived here for almost all his life told me that the library is just new yet it’s already filled with good books. That’s where he borrows his favorite mangas and novels. I as a hardcore reader was thrilled about that. Just imagine all those books I have always wanted now just a few walks away from school. It’s simply magical, really. :D Once we were there, I convinced my parents to get me a library card already. (I know, I obviously can’t wait to borrow books. Well, if you’ll see what I saw, I bet you’ll run to get a library card immediately too. haha.) Unfortunately they need an I.D. or any document that contains our information before they give us a library card and my parents weren’t bringing any that day. :((((

Last Monday, we went to school so I could officially enroll. It wasn’t successful though because I have to talk to the principal but he isn’t available until Wednesday. :/ After there, my parents and I went back to the library but before we reaching the front door, I remembered it’s close during Mondays. yahhhh. :(

Anyways, this Last Wednesday after I was enrolled, we went back to the library again and finally got ourselves our library cards!! :DDD happey~ Once I got hold of my card, I ran upstairs on the Teen Section.. with eyes sparkling with happiness, I roamed around and tried to look for the books I want. See, the disadvantage of having a big library is it makes looking for particular books hard. -.- I wasn’t able to borrow any in the end because my parents told me to finalize my school schedule first so I’ll know what days I’m available to return the books soon. :/

Sure that was disappointing but because our fabbity fab fab library is techie, I immediately logged in on their website, searched for the books I want and reserved them  once I got home that night. :))) I took advantage of it and requested for 4 books already. Other than those 4, I have 8 more books to reserve next and there’s more to be added really soon. ;) haha. The next day, the librarian called but I wasn’t home so my lola just got the message for me. They said few of the books I requested are now available for pick up. Gully, I love our library! :)) I’m not yet sure when I could get the books though. Next week probably because I’m starting school already.. :)

I guess this long post is already enough to express how happy I am about the library so, yah. Oh, and I shall post more on the “ BOOKS I READ ” portion of my blog really soon. Btw, you can see more of my Amateur Arts here. :D

It all started when all of my seatmates are reading their books and I have nothing else to do so Lady let me borrow this amazing book. It&#8217;s my first time to read a book by Nicholas Sparks. (I know, almost all of you already read it, classic and all) I&#8217;m not really into drama and romance but I gave it a try because there are a lot of good feedbacks on it. (and there&#8217;s no other book to read. I have no choice) then I can&#8217;t stop reading it. I didn&#8217;t expect it to be that awesome. I thought it&#8217;s all serious and deep englishy but it isn&#8217;t. At the mid of it, the tears, the tears were forming, (I&#8217;m at school then) the emotion is just.. that.. deep. :))) So yesterday I hurried home to watch the movie. It was a bit disappointing. (though I like the play part. I&#8217;ve always liked &#8220;Only Hope&#8221; by Mandy Moore) The book&#8217;s better. Anyway, still good. :D Just actually passed by for I have a lot of project to do. (inc. book report, which I haven&#8217;t started yet for I haven&#8217;t finished reading the book until now. [I&#8217;m hardworking like that.]) So, there. I surely am recommending you to read it.
